The 2022 Barracuda Championship welcomes 50 members of the DP World Tour for the first time as part of the strategic alliance between the PGA TOUR and the DP World Tour, after last week’s co-sanctioned events at the Genesis Scottish Open and the Barbasol Championship.

156 golfers will be teeing it up at the Old Greenwood Course at Tahoe Mountain Club in Truckee, California. Since 2012, the tournament has adopted the Modified Stableford system in which players are rewarded for playing aggressively.

An albatross is worth eight points, an eagle five points, a birdie two points, and pars are worth zero points, with players losing points for bogeys or worse.

2013 PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner, eight-time winner on the PGA TOUR K.J. Choi and former European Ryder Cup team member Alex Noren are amongst the notable names that will be in action, while Pepperdine standout Joe Highsmith, who finished 10th in this year’s PGA Tour University Ranking, is one of the sponsor exemptions this week.
